About the Founder
As a disabled U.S. Marine Corps veteran, I understand firsthand the challenges and opportunities that come with transitioning from military service to civilian life.
After leaving the Marine Corps in 2003, I spent more than a decade serving in law enforcement and corrections before navigating my own career transition into the private sector. Like many veterans, my path was not always straightforward. Following a period of personal hardship, including homelessness, I restarted my career in 2015 in an entry-level position with a Fortune 500 company. Through perseverance, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous growth, I worked my way into the corporate environment and built a successful career focused on workforce development and veteran employment.
Today, I work in corporate military recruiting, specializing in veteran hiring initiatives and SkillBridge programs. Through this work, I have partnered closely with employers seeking dependable talent and with service members preparing for life after the military. These experiences have given me a unique perspective on the challenges both sides face and the opportunities that exist when the right connections are made.
Alabama Honor Bridge was founded to help close that gap.
Our mission is to connect Alabama employers with transitioning service members, veterans, and military families while helping military talent find meaningful career opportunities within their communities. We believe leadership, work ethic, and commitment developed through military service are valuable assets to Alabama's workforce.
My goal is to help employers build strong teams and to help veterans and their families build stable, fulfilling futures. By creating pathways between military talent and civilian careers, Alabama Honor Bridge is working to strengthen both our workforce and the communities we serve.
